Getting Started

Like everything else on Helix, we've tried to make getting started as easy, and user-friendly as possible. If you're a beginner, new to the world of decentralized token swaps, yield generation, and self-banking, follow some of the starter tips on this page. If you struggle with anything, join Discord, and ask the community!

To interact with Helix, or any DeFi platform, you will need to set up a decentralized wallet. Never share the setup and recovery details with anyone, & store them safely!

Setting Up A Wallet

No matter your reasons for using Helix, you're going to need at least one decentralized wallet to hold your tokens, and other cryptoassets. If you aim to trade, farm, and stake on the Helix platform, you're going to need an Ethereum-friendly wallet, such as Metamask. To engage in NFT cross-chaining from Solana, you will need to hold NFT's in a Solana-based Phantom wallet.

We've provided setup guides for both wallets, which can be found below.

Don't forget to fund your wallet with an amount of native currency for gas costs, on Ethereum this is paid in ETH, and on Solana, SOL.

Using The Features On Helix

After setting yourself up with a wallet, it would make sense to familiarize yourself with the features found on the platform, and the ways in which you can begin to use Helix to earn yield. We've provided short guides on each area of the platform, happy reading!

How to trade tokens on a decentralized exchange Adding & removing liquidity How to use the yield farms Staking in the single asset pools How to bridge and stake your Geobot Creating a yield, or LP swap Using Helix vaults How to participate in platform governance Using your Helix referral link Changing Network on Helix Bridging HELIX

Using Multi-Chain Features

Unlike other AMMs, Helix aims to remove many of the limitations forced upon users, such as the inability to easily swap networks in the pursuit of opportunities.
