How To Participate In Governance

Voting in Governance proposals is one of the most important activities you can do with your HELIX tokens, not only does it involve you more in the community, and give you a say in the future direction of the platform (and its aims), but voting can be extremely profitable for all holders, if the right proposals are passed...

To make participation even easier, we've provided a native voting portal on Helix.Finance, so you don't even have to leave the platform!

How To Vote

Navigate to the Governance section on Helix, either by choosing the "Voting" tab from the home screen, or heading directly to Helix.finance/voting - this area of the platform serves as our native voting portal and allows holders to participate in governance without leaving Helix.

Set the filter to "Active" only, and select the proposal you would like to participate in.

Selecting the "Vote Now" tab will take you through to the details of the proposal, including the creator, and the number of votes already cast in favor, and against.

After making sure you understand the details of the planned changes, choose to either cast your vote in favor or against. You will be asked to confirm in a pop-up, which will display your current voting power, dictated by the amount of HELIX you hold.

HELIX that is currently staked or locked up is included in your voting power.

Finally, confirm your vote with a signature request from your decentralized wallet.

When complete, you have successfully taken part in the governance of the platform!

How To Propose A Vote

Submitting a proposal for the communities attention is also fast and easy on Helix, and can be done by navigating once more to the native voting portal on the platform, and selecting the "Make a proposal" tab at the top of the screen.

Here, you can enter the details for the planned proposal, include as much information as possible/necessary, and input an end date and time.
