As part of our goal to push the boundaries of innovation within DeFi, there is a huge amount planned for the future of Helix, both in its short, and long-term roadmap. These planned upgrades and milestones will be detailed below.

As a living document, the Helix roadmap will be updated quarterly, or when necessary after community vote.

The Helix roadmap is regularly updated after taking into account the feedback from our community members, and any necessary implementations made by the team.

Why are Geometry’s Milestones Done this Way?

The purpose of structuring the upcoming work like this is to break down major milestones that the project must pass through in 2022/23 to achieve its long-term goals.

While there are 7 major release milestones, there are many more minor upgrades that will complement the major releases, and like the major releases, minor upgrades will be selected on-the-fly as their implementation either becomes more viable or urgent.

Why are the Releases Non-Linear?

Non-linearity was selected for the Geometry roadmap in reflection of the nature of the fast pace of the DeFi market and the areas of focus that we may prioritize over time.

Also this takes, into account the technological constraints we face and that will need to be available to complete certain major release milestones.

The system also allows for our project to be more flexible in the ways that we strategize and to react more effectively to new considerations as they present themselves.

How Will the Status of Work be Known?

Currently, the status of work is publicly available through the announcement channel in the main Geometry discord channel (https://discord.gg/geometry), as well as posts that will be added to the Geometry Medium channel periodically.
