How To Use Yield Farms

Yield farming is a great way to earn even more rewards from assets you've already deposited on the platform, so really, its like double the rewards for no extra work!

Unlike the single asset pools, which require only one type of token, the Helix yield farms require LP tokens, which are obtained when providing liquidity in one of the pools. If you haven't already done this step, take a look at the previous section, which explains liquidity pools in more depth.

Providing a pair of assets exposes you to impermanent loss, to avoid this entirely you can always try out the single asset launchpools on Helix.

This process occurred on the Rinkeby testnet, some asset prices may not be correct.

The first step to using the Farms on Helix is to provide liquidity to your chosen pair, if you haven't done so already, check out the previous section "How to add/remove liquidity".

After providing liquidity to your chosen pair, head back to the earn tab and select the farms.

Navigate to your chosen farm and use the drop down tab to expose the farm details.

For this example, we are continuing with our previous liquidity provision, and will therefore be using the HELIX-WETH farm.

Enable the farm with the displayed option, and confirm with the wallet popup. A small gas fee is associated with this action.

After wallet confirmation, the enable tab will display as STAKE-LP, clicking this will allow you to choose the amount of LP tokens to deposit in the farm.

For this example, we will hit max, and press confirm.

Check the gas costs in your wallet popup, and when happy hit the confirm tab to stake your LP tokens.

When complete, your position will show on the farms screen, including any rewards earned.

Farm rewards are distributed in HELIX, and can be harvested at any time!

How To Harvest Rewards

Harvesting rewards from the yield farms on Helix is pretty simple, just head back to the farms periodically and select the "Harvest" tab, which will show alongside the farm/s you have deposited in. Rewards are shown in real time, and are deposited straight into your wallet when collected!

How To Unstake LP Tokens From A Yield Farm

To unstake your LP tokens from the yield farms, simply follow the above process in reverse, beginning with returning to the farm you are deposited in, and hitting the "-" tab.

After unstaking and confirming, the LP tokens will be returned to your wallet and can be redeemed in the liquidity pools at any time. To do so, head over to the liquidity tab and select the pool from "Your liquidity", then remove the amount, and confirm the transaction.
